Wil's belief in God

Somehow Wil and I got on the subject of God. He told me he believed in his god. "Whose your god?" I ask.
"He sleeps most of the time. "
"Oh?"
"Yes, he only wakes up when I'm having a hard time. Then he says, 'wuz up? you believe me?'"
I am surprised he did not say his god tells him to eat fried chicken and it will all be better.

My God definitely would suggest fried chicken. and for all you know his way of making Wil feel better is friend chicken, maybe his next line after "you believe me?" is "if you don't, you should go try some fried chicken".
