Leaving Hanoi

3/27/11 seriously i dont like whiny beggers. Vietnam is full of pathetic whiners even worse than korea. I woke up at 5:30 to get hotel rez and leave to find shuttle bus. I got motorbike driver who took me to bus station and dropped me off in front of a closed shop. I waited around to get a taxi instead of cheaper shuttle bus but motorbike driver came back and wanted to bring me to another place. I asked how much he said 3000 dong. After a minute of driving he brought me to a jetstar bus luckily i am flying jetstar but when i gave him 4000 he said no 30,000 yeah fucking right dude. I took out a 10,000 but he whined with his red stained rotten teeth barred motioning with his hand to his mouth that he needed food and wanted more money. I offered him the 4 on top of the 10 with a take it or leave it smile. I walked away and he took the extra money from my hand. In thailand the motorbike drivers would laugh it off and accept a fair price. Vietnamese whine they need more money than is acceptable and wont stop bugging you. I cant wait to get out of here. Maybe ho chi minh will be different. Then to cambodia. At jetstar shuttle place i walked away without my passport. Luckily the man was nice and ran to give it to me. Stay focused tara! My stomach feels ok so far i figure it will hit me tonight.
